Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is achieved with peroxide-based applications that alter the color of the tooth itself. Good candidates for teeth whitening procedures include those wishing to achieve a brighter, younger smile, those without fillings or crowns in the front teeth, and those that do not have unusually dark stains on their teeth.

Whitening procedures offered include:

Zoom! In Office Whitening System. This whitening procedure is an 1 ½ hour long appointment where a special bleach is applied to teeth and then activated using a dental lamp light.

Vital Night-Guard Bleaching System. Currently a free procedure for new patients to the Family Dental Center, a custom-made mouth guard will be made for your teeth and then filled by you at home with a special bleach. The mouth guard will be worn over night for two weeks to achieve a brighter smile. Typically the procedure will require one appointment to take an impression (mold) of your teeth so that a mouth guard may then be made by the dental lab. You will then be notified by the office when you may pick up your Bleaching kit and mouth guard.
